Letter to the Living Tip In

This is my tip in for a exchange on the OddArts yahoo group. The theme is letters from the dead. I had to do a second one because I misunderstood the correct size. Nothing like reading the directions correctly the first time lol.

Open windows. The scroll has a "letter to the living" written on it.

This is the front with the windows closed.

This is stamped images on black paper I embellished with gesso. I love that two ghostly figures show through.

I like the stamped images showing through. If you click on the picture, you can see the stamp of the girl looking through the grid.

Graffite Paper

This began life as a stripped piece of scrapbook paper that I did not like so I altered it into graffite paper. I really like this and now do not want to cut it up.

This is a drawing I did today. May try to work it into a art bag.

The spine of my RR fabric book. These are binder rings with beads wired on.

Gypsy Art Bag. I enjoy these but need to come up with something else to avoid burn-out on doing these art bags.

Back of Album

Back of album.

I finished this album over the weekend.

One of my students gave me this so I altered it to put on my embellished paper.

A bird in the hand etc, etc.

This is my first experience with beeswax. I like the foggy look it gives. I wish I had a pretty handwriting. A beautiful handwriting would be even better. This began life as a piece of foam core , as well as the "face in a crowd" piece.

This piece is attached to a piece of cloth that will eventually be made into a book. I added a transparency over the picture of a face. His eyes, nose and mouth are visible to the left inside of the little girls face. ( you can see it better if you enlarge the picture.) Also there is a face under the glass pebble. There is a paint brush that I had used for years attached to the left. In a desperate moment, I grabbed it and used it to stir some gold UT embossing powder so now own a " brush dipped in gold".

New Collage

I added beeswax at the bottom right of this collage.

Back of my art box.

I collaged on my supply box that I keep drawing supplies in. This is the back side.

Bird Nest

I took a photo of a nest a bird had built and drew it out. I added a stamp to enhance it. I love adding rubber stamps to my art.

Another carved stamp

Frame Work

I bought this frame at a garage sale and added gold and olive green rub-on then burned designs in it.

Collage

Close up of a collage class I took at Art & Soul with Ann Baldwin.

Hmm, got a long, long way to go before I do this up right. Gotta start somewhere.

First Attempt

First attempt at stamp carving. Hmmmm, got a long way to go before I master this art.

Fish

I am going to try to do this in fabric pieces. Not sure how that will come out.

Fish Drawing

Clown with bird hat

I used this face on a fabric page RR I was in.

Drawing of stamp images

I think these will be cool in a daily journal to jot notes on the lines.

My granddaughter created the page on the right side for me as a gift.

This is the cover of my absolute most favorite book I've ever made. Unfortunately, it was sent as a proposal for a class and never made it home.

Collage using fabric and paper elements.

Paste paper.

Art paper. My hope is that when my journals are purchased, these pages will be written on.

Art papers in one of my journals.

This is my favorite art journal.

Circus Dreams

I love this book. This is a prototype but I hope to start another one soon and work out the mistakes.

New Collage

This is a new collage I did using my new favorite line of stamps, CharacterConstructions.com I love this new line of rubber stamps, very artsy.

This is some of the pages I worked up.

I love, love, love this book. It is spiral coil bound with lots of neat pages inside.

The spine has charms and beads attached to a metal chain.

The back has a oriental mermaid stamped on it.

This journal is thin metal covering heavy bookboard. The word JOURNAL is dimensional and the front and back have stamp art. The pages are white watercolor paper for art and journaling.

Journal

This journal also has embellished watercolor papers for you to do art or journal on. It has a three dimensional butterfly on the right hand corner and clip art glass slide under the butterfly. The front is embellished with charms and the spine is coptic stitch so the book will lay flat.

New Journal

This is one of my new journals. It has embellished watercolor papers for doing art or journaling on. I love the face. I have "Her life" spelled randomly on the front. The spine has beautiful fiber and bead embellishments.

I LOVE this journal. Every art element I love is visible in this journal. If this had been the only class I took at Art&Soul, it would have been worth the trip.

This is the back and spine of my metal journal that I made in Thomas and Romona Ashman's class at Art&Soul.

This is the beret I altered for Art & Soul. I love the face stamp and use it often in my art.
